I apparently have a thing for brain rape lately. Not only have I recently read a story what was not yaoi, *legasp* but it also featured Maito Gai and an OC!

And I loved it. Absolutely, positively loved it. I haven't stayed up reading until 5 in the morning on a work night since Harry Potter (fuck you, Mr. Potter, and your lack of slashy goodness). There were a few spelling errors, and word switch ups (quite should of been quiet and so on), but overall I was able to ignore those for the juicy goodness that was this story.

Bee-uty and the Beast

Also been reading stories with pairings like Sess/Inu, Yami/Hikari, Lee/Gaara, CatMan/CluelessHuman, and even found a Albus/Harry! (LOLWUT?!)

Must... read... more! *dances off*

BTW, whoever decided that putting 2 tabs as ways to post a journal was a flaming asshat. You have no idea how long I banged on my effing keyboard trying to make the links work. -____-'

So, in the USA there's this company called "Schwan's", which is basically a food delivery service (pizza, pasta, finger foods, etc.). I grew up knowing that name because my grandma used to buy chicken nuggets from the "Schwan Man" when he drove by in his big beige truck with the swan on the side. To this day, I mentally call out to him/her whenever I see one of their trucks. "I've really got to stop by the bookstore before I go home, and we're almost -SCHWAN MAN!- out of cat food again..." Yeah, I'm just weird.

ANYWAY, I was pulling up to my house, and a Schwan Man was at the bottom of my neighbors driveway, rearranging his truck. After my mental "SCHWAN MAN!", I watched as he took out a bag of frozen food, set it down on the nasty, muddy, wet street, and continued rearranging stuff. I swear to the gods, it was a bag of fucking chicken nuggets. I was laughing so hard that I almost hit my mailbox. Something so stupid shouldn't have been so funny! I just kept imagining my grandma saying, "Street nuggets an mashed potatoes, kids?" XD

Hem. I believe I'm mentally unstable. Or maybe it's the cold medicine. :3

So, bit of an update on nothing in particular. Our friend JP and his wife took Osiris (the CA king snake), which I'm fucking thrilled about. He had a hell of a bad attitude, and was going to be a bitch to place. JP's brother took Gorbash (the snow corn snake) tonight, and hopefully that will work out well. Gorbash was such a sweetie, but his tank was too huge, and he refused to downgrade. ^^ 2 down, about 8 to go!

My gods, I suddenly feel exhausted! This will be the most fail post ever...

In conclusion, my desktop, because trolls are the smex.

Chris and I have decided to split up. We've been kind of talking about it for the last few weeks, and last night we decided breaking it off would be in both of our best interests. We sat and held one another, talked to each other, laughed, cried a little, and even had "break-up sex". ^___^ I've just been informed by my sister that I'm fuckin weird. XD

We both still have every intention of remaining very close friends. You can't have a connection like ours and not remain friends. I had 3 1/2 wonderful years with him, and he's one of my very best friends. (Or, as I say, one of the few people I would try and save during the zombie apocalypse.) It's going to be very different sleeping all by myself again, and not having him around to laugh with, but it's a whole new start, and I like challenges.

So, he and Shannerz are moving down to Rocklin (about 30 mins away) so Shan can be closer to her school in Sac, and Chris can go to the Rocklin branch of Sierra College. I, meanwhile, am moving back in with my parents for a few months to save up money.

Dear. Fucking. GODS. There will be bloodshed. Don't get me wrong, I love my family and I'm thrilled to have this opportunity, but there was a reason I moved out the first time. I have a feeling I'll be remembering why very quickly. At least I won't have a diet of cheetos and soda! My mom and dad are fantastic cooks, and mom is one of those people who comes home from work and cooks a full, rounded dinner. I can almost taste the nomnoms.

On the downside, my 2 brothers (13 & 17) and one of my sisters (18) are still living at home, so there's no room in the house for me. Instead, they're building me a closet in the garage. -_-' It's actually a 10ftx12ft room, but it's going to feel like a closet with 1 dog, 2 cats, 4 snakes, and all my crap in there.

That's another thing. I have to go from 17 snakes to 4. How the fuck am I suppose to do that?! Mom, the ass, isn't budging on that one, and Chris can only take so many. Heh, anyone want a snake?

In other news, Dad got his results back, and his cancer is 95% curable with treatment since he caught it early. So in between chemo, he gets to help me build my closet. :D I love my Daddy.

That's all for now, peeps! Toodles!

Internets is BACK!!! *happydance* I have so much stuff to catch up on that it's not even funny. >_<

On a happier note, dad is doing much better. Had a testicle removed last Monday, and is deflecting Lance Armstrong jokes like a champ. :) He starts chemo in a week or so, and should do pretty well. We have high hopes!

In other news, I broke my finger a couple days ago. Since we don't have medical insurance, I made my own splint for it. Have to say it looks pretty darn awesome, too.

My Kisame finger! XD The fact that it still smells faintly like sharpie is a tad off-putting, but it's still fantabulous!

Eh, haven't had internets for 2 weeks now, and probably won't have it again until the middle of January! *dies* Never been so bored in my life.

Quick recap of the past couple weeks:

Worked a lot
Got bitten a lot
Saw Avatar twice (OMG best movie evah!)
Caught a cold
Got over a cold

... And that's about it! XD Not a very interesting life, really.

Have to take off. Laptop is almost dead! Boo!

Have a great New Year everyone! Hope it goes better than mine is so far. Just found out a couple hours ago that my dad has cancer. D: We'll find out what kind and how bad it is next week after he has surgery, but keep him in your good thoughts!

So, we went to see 2012 last night. Not the best movie I've ever seen, but certainly one I'm going to get when it comes out. Was a very entertaining flick. I always do like the ones where you get to watch the world burn. :D (Independence Day, Terminator: Salvation, Day After Tomorrow, etc.) However, watching these kinds of things always makes me dream weird things the next night. Especially watching Star Trek, T: Salvation, and 2012 one right after the other.

In this one, I was with two guys I don't even know, and we were running as the world collapsed around us. We made it to a military airplane hangar, and just kind of sat there, laughing it up how we managed to survive this long, and how we definitely weren't going to make it through the night. Apparently, there were a bunch more people around us, and they all decided the answer to the end of the world was to have a massive orgy. o_o Don't really know where I was at that point, but even the two guys I was with looked at each another and said, "Aw, fuck it," and threw themselves at one another. Lol! I really need to stop reading so much yaoi...

Anyway, later, the party/orgy moved to the roof (apparently the hangar roof had lawn chairs and catering service...?). The two guys (who by that point had stopped molesting each other... dammit) and I watched as this blond girl got real quiet, then walked to the edge of the (suddenly and inexplicably very tall) roof and jumped off. Well, apparently everyone else thought she had somethin going, 'cause they all began to do the same. The three of us all looked at one another and decided that it wasn't for us. Nope, we decided that we were going to go out trying to fly military jet planes. Que John Denver song!

So, the three of us got into our own planes, and started taking off just as the world started exploding again. Apparently, guy #1 and I suddenly knew how to fly fighter jets, and took off with much skill as giant fireballs blew things apart around us. Unfortunately, guy #2 obviously didn't receive his sudden pilot skills a la Matrix, as he went crashing into a hole and exploded. o_O Fail, dude. Fail.

So, for some reason, we knew the answer to survival was in the Middle East somewhere, and managed to fly all the way there on one measly tank of jet fuel. We landed in "the Middle East" (AKA My Parents Back Yard...?), and landed in the driveway. No one was there, and it suddenly hit me that I had lost Shippou, Chris, and my whole family (yes, in that order XD), and I sat down and started crying. Then I woke up.

... I am confused. X3

Got sent home from work today for being sick again. -__- Was happy to go, even though I really need the money. Felt like such crap...

Luckily, I didn't leave until after getting to talk to a client of ours, Mr. Black. I always forget how awesome he is until he opens his mouth, the I'm all, "OMG it's YOU!" He's like 83 years old, was a professor at Stanford, and has Masters in Theological Studies, Environmental Studies, Philosophy, and degrees in Biogeochemestry and Ecology. He also used to work with the United Nations on various stuff, and is the coolest guy to talk to. While Sandy was cleaning his airedale Chelsy's teeth, we were talking about population control and the human effect on the environment. Did you know that the earth can truly only sustain 1 million humans? (Actually, it's more like 750,000, but he said 1 million was an easier number for most people to remember...)

We also got to talk about the seeming increase of homosexuality in the human population, and whether or not it's just more people coming out, or it's related to the human population problem. We both agreed that gays are a higher evolved species genetically, and that it's natures way of going, "Well, shit. Too many of you little buggers. Lessee.... you all are gonna start liking your own sex now!" Apparently, they have studies and genetic experiments that he's a part in that are studying things like this. Go figure.

Anyway, Alvin is such a great guy to talk to. For a while, I actually forgot how crappy I felt. Love seeing people like that!

Gonna go pass out again now. Night all!

Okay, now that I'm home again, I LOVE THE SNOW! We've gotten three inches so far, and it's AWESOME!!! n_n So awesome, in fact, that after Chris and I had crazy, nasty monkey sex (lol mental image) and had a shower, I ran outside to roll around in the stuff... dripping wet and ass naked at 1:30 in the morning. XD SO FUCKING COLD, BUT SO WORTH IT! I immediately ran back inside and threw my pasty snow-covered self back into the shower, but it was fun! Looked a lot like SNJ Naruto, what with the white puffs covering everything vital (except the whiteness was a terrible freezing LIE).

Well, gonna go eat a slushy from the porch snow and some pepsi. May fall asleep sometime tonight, or may not. Yay insomnia!

Have a great day all!

My sis Beth and I were supposed to go run (coughwalkcough)the 4 mile loop over at Empire Mine today. "We've gotta do it! No matter what! Doesn't matter if there's rain and wind and snow!" we told each other.

Yeah. Fuck that. It's ass-all COLD out there today! 33' F (couple degrees below freezing for all you non-Americans) outside, and it's almost 3 in the afternoon! Bwah. Not taking a step outside unless I'm forced to. There's still a heavy layer of ice on the pond outside, for crying out loud.

Yes. I know I'm a pansy compared to anyone from more northern climates, but I'm wearing nothin but a t-shirt and jeans. No socks or nothin. And I'm house sitting and can't figure out how to jimmy the thermostat. See my sad face?

On the other hand, it's supposed to snow tonight! FUCK YEAH!!! I LOVE THE SNOW!!! XDDDD

Hmm... should probably look in the back of my new car and see if Chris' dad has tire chains back there. o_o Yeah, better do that soon...

Re-playing Pokemon Emerald, since Shannon and Chris are doing the same with Fire Red and Leaf Green. Powering through the Elite 4 with my level 92 Blaziken "Hidama" and 81 Rayquaza "Envy" (n___n) while little team hopefuls pass around an experience share. I've done this about a dozen times this morning, and I'm one level away from a Salamence (Kalseru). Scratch that, she just dinged 50! :D Now just gotta wait to grow all these stupid berries for my Feebas (Hermos)(was up until 3 this morning fishing for the little douchebag -_- "Just... one... more... square...")

Well, I'm gonna go eat my Panda Express, rape the E4 some more, and try and keep warm. Til next time!

.... Why is the purple kitty sprite for "cold" crying? Should be encased in a block of ice...

For the record, this was the second time I've had to write all this. Here, have a look at my accidental footage of the incident:

And you can't even tell that I'm not wearing pants. ^___^

Anyway, on to the actual postage....

Hellos again everyone! Been a long few weeks, and quite awhile since the last post. *slapswrist* I have many excuses for my non-communicating, which include:

Cleaning up cat puke
Taking care of snake mites
House/pet sitting nonstop
Trimming my toenails
Trimming my cat's toenails (ouch)
Playing Pet Society on Facebook
Being poor
Getting bitten by aforementioned snakes
NOT writing for NaNoWriMo
Watching Jackass and Bam's Unholy Union marathons
Watching Law and Order: SVU marathons

and finally...

Fostering a puppy with a broken leg.

This last one seemed to take up the greatest amount of time. 10 week old little "Finnegan" (AKA: "Patches" *bleh*) came from the Modesto, CA area (hell hole about 2.5 hours away) two weeks ago. He had been injured (likely kicked) when he was barely a month old, causing his femur to break right above his knee. After leaving it to heal improperly for several weeks, the owners turned Finn's entire little in to the local high-kill shelter. Tim and Lauren Rossovich (founders of Chow Chow Rescue, Mystery Mutts, and the people who saved our dog Shippou's life) pulled the litter from the shelter and brought them up here. Unfortunately, it wasn't soon enough to save two of Finn's litter mates, who contracted and died of parvo shorty after entering the shelter. Sadness. ):

So, since the injury to Finn's leg happened some time ago, it caused scar tissue to build up in the leg, twisting it horribly and completely freezing the knee in place. Over the past few weeks the boss-man, Dr. Tim, has done 2 major reconstructive surgeries and countless rounds of physical therapy to try and save his leg. However, it will never be the same and will likely cause him pain for the rest of his life, which is why we've decided to amputate it. Scheduled to go in tomorrow at 9:30a for his surgery. (Jeeze, can't even keep away from the place on my days off. ><) He's going to his new home on Thurs or Fri, so these will be our last days with him. Gonna miss the little booger. Probably not as much as Shippou will, though! She loved having a little buddy around to harass!

OMG you wouldn't believe the crap these two would get into! Shippou brings him things (clothes, food wrappers, etc.), sets them down outside his wire kennel, and he yanks them inside and proceeds to thoroughly destroy them. I don't think I have a sock left in the house that doesn't have holes in it now. Little terror twins is what they are...

Lol. We're letting the little dipshit run amok since we don't have to worry about his leg healing funny from overuse anymore! Poor guy has been cooped up for weeks now, and he's just barreling around the couch like a maniac!

Wow. Just a little disjointed, there. I blame the awesome drugs I have on board to take care of my headache, bad hip, and all around feeling of bleh sickness.

Should probably get some sleep now. Night all!

So, it's looking more and more like Zilla has a brain tumor. :(   We keep taking him off the heating pads, but he still isn't able to regulate his own body temperature. He just starts slipping into hypothermia, slows down, and goes to curl up in a corner. Dr. Tim did a bunch of research this weekend, and he has no clue what could be causing it besides a brain tumor. If he has one pressing on his hypothalamus, it could be the explanation for his vomiting and thermoregulation problems.

The biopsies came back, and were relatively normal (besides the obvious irregularities related to the pancreatitis). There was an unusual presence of a certain bacteria in all three biopsy sites (can't remember the name of it for the life of me), which we're hoping could be the cause of his puking problem. Still doesn't explain why he keeps cooling off, though. :/

We got his special antibiotic and Jake's immuno-suppressant drug in from Arizona today. Both are "vanilla butternut" flavor. *scratches head* They smell heavenly, but taste kinda blah, and leave a very odd aftertaste... Yes, I tasted my kitties' drugs. Don't you judge me. XD

Regarding 'Zil, Tim says we can also try crack to regulate his temperature. o_O The conversation went like this:

Me: Dammit. I don't know what to tell Chris. He's gonna be so upset...

Tim: Well, you know, there's always crack cocaine as a last resort.

M: Haha, very funny.

T: Dead serious. It'll help him regulate his temperature by stimulating his brain.

M: O_O You're not kidding. You'd give me a prescription for kitty cocaine? Do they even make that shit?

T: Unfortunately, yeah. How do you think so many vets lose their licenses because of "drug addictions"?

M: Hmm... out of curiosity, how much would kitty crack cost?

T: Arm, leg, and first born, for starters.

M: Ah. I'll start peddling Chris on the street corner tonight, then.

On a side note, I love my boss. But on the topic of kitty crank, I really don't think we want Zilla tweaked out for the rest of his life (however long that may be). Guess we just have to hope these drugs work a miracle.

Rewatched the last few episodes of S-CRY-Ed last night. That show was my guilty pleasure. :3 The fact that every single episode had violence, swearing, and fighting in it made me a happy camper. Sort of the same feeling I get when I watch Gantz... only a lot more innocent, since Gantz is a million times more vulgar and sex-oriented.

... *goes off to watch Gantz*

Oh! Joined Nanowrimo last week. Only have about 3,000 words written so far. I was going to try and catch up this weekend, but with all the critter stuff going down, I didn't feel much like it. Had too much porn to read, anyway. :3

Hope everyone else is having a better week!

So, Catzilla had his exploratory surgery today. It's not cancer! *does the dance of the extremely happy people* His pancreas looked horrible, but that was kind of expected from all of his previous problems. We took biopsies of his stomach, intestine (duadnum), and pancreas to see if anything comes back funny.

On a side note: *drops dead* SO MUCH MONEY! D: $120 per biopsy (x3)+ $1000 exploratory sx + $80 pre-anesthetic bloodwork  + $50 antibiotic injection = OMG please just take my fucking soul... I work for my vet, so there's a bit of a discount, but still... At least the kitty morphine is dirt cheap. Small miracles...

Anyway, Zil is recovering well. Went sheet white and scared the crap out of us during the sx, but did fine once Dr. Tim closed him back up. He's confined to a carrier on a heating pad for the next week. That will go swimmingly, I'm sure. He's already in there, hopped up on drugs and bitching our ears off. Gonna be a fun few days. X/

I think this was a lot harder on Chris than it was on Zil, really. Chris spent the majority of the day in the break room sleeping. The plan was to do the surgery, let him know what Tim found (whether or not it was the big C and Chris would have to make that horrible choice), then take him home when I got a lunch. Best laid plans, and all that. Didn't get to the fuzzbutt until almost 2:00 'cause we had a dog with a broken leg that needed a pin put in. Poor Chris spent the entire day in the break room, thinking up worse-case scenarios, after a night of not sleeping, thinking up worse-case scenarios.

We tried to "relieve some tension" *snickers* once we got Zilla settled in at home, but apparently we fail at sex. :(

... Scratch that. This COUCH fails at sex. Seriously, it is the least helpful couch on the planet when it comes to sex positions. Either too high or too low. ... Hmm... have to remember to unlock the door so Shannon can get inside tonight...

Speaking of which. HEY SHANNON! Are you sitting with your laptop right now? On the couch? Yeah, we tried to have sex RIGHT WHERE YOU'RE SITTING!!! Mwahahaha!

Okay, okay, so it was fail sex. The attempt still counts. AND YOU'RE SITTING ON IT! XD

So, today was the day from HELL. Full moon soon + Halloween + retards who shouldn't own animals = OMGWTF. So many effing idiots! "But I don't understand why the chihuahua's sick! He ONLY ate half a FIVE POUND BAG of dark chocolate M&Ms!" *bashes head against wall* Dude, where the fuck did you find a 5 lb bag of M&Ms anyway?! ... Seriously, I wanna know. You'd think watching something the size of my left boob barf up half its weight in chocolate would put me off the devil candies, but nooooooo.....

Anyway, had to deal with stuff like THAT all day *shakes fist*, plus we had to euthanize, like, 7 dogs, plus one of my favorite kitties from work died, PLUS two of our own kitties decided they were going to get sick today. DX

Jake isn't eating because he has these horrible sores all over the inside of his mouth and throat (caused by the oral stomatitis), which will probably have to be taken care of by medicating him every day for the rest of his life. (Please just shoot me now...) Catzilla's pancreatitis has gotten worse insyead of better; so bad, in fact, that he's vomiting uncontrollably (which causes Neon to vomit too, the damn pansy), and he can't thermoregulate properly. He had a temp of 95 degrees when I took him in today, and cats should be around 102. -___- He's sitting in the dog crate right now on a pile of pillows and heating pads. Not happy about it one bit, either.

SO, Jake is sick, Zil is REALLY sick, I'm pooped and annoyed with the human population in general, Chris and Shannerz don't get back until late tomorrow night... and Neon just puked in my nachos. Perfect.

Why the hell am I not at Yaoi-con, again? :/

Got sent home from work today for being a sickie. Promptly came inside and nearly puked on the dog... which caused the Neon to vomit, 'cause he doesn't like to see other things puke. o_O I have a weird cat...

Anyway, spent the whole day developing my character for the Naruto RP thingy we're planning on doing. Started going into the details of my toon's lizard summons. Played with the concept of little fire lizards that ignite things they touch, but after discussing it, decided it would be too chaotic.

Did spawn this amusing picture, though:

Behold my artistic prowess.

And yes, that is a flaming baby. X3

Chris said he'll try to get me an autograph from Makoto Tateno (author of Yellow/Heero Heel/etc.) when they go to Yaoi-con this weekend. I'm so bummed that I have to work this weekend! Sounds like it's going to be sooooo much fun! :-(

In other news, our landlord is the most awesome guy ever! He's going to drop the rent to $1200 a month (down from $1400) so that we'll be able to stay here. Also said he'd take a larger portion of the utilities. Such an awesome guy! THANK YOU BRAD!!! And yay for not moving in the snow! :D

... and if you're reading this Chris, YOUR FACE IS HIDEOUS. Go fall in a pit. Full of spikes. On your ugly face.
